Help your child gain confidence in the water at CHRISTUS Health & Wellness Center. We offer a wide range of swimming options through structured classes divided by age and skill level. All classes are taught by certified Red Cross Water Safety instructors. Swim lessons are eight, 45-minute classes.
After-School Learn to Swim Lessons
Group swim classes are offered through September - May to help your little ones keep their swimming skills sharp. After school lessons are offered for:
Tadpole: 4:30 pm - 5:15 pm Monday & Wednesday
Beginner I / Starfish: 4:30 pm - 5:15 pm Monday & Wednesday
Beginner II / Piranha: 4:30 pm - 5:15 pmMonday & Wednesday
Eight 45 minute classes each month. $80 member / $100 non-member. Runs monthly.
Learn To Swim Levels
LEVEL 1 GUPPY/ Parent & Tot
Help your child adjust to the water in an interactive and safe environment with guidance of an aquatics instructor.
Ages 6 months - 3 years old
LEVEL 2 TADPOLE
The instructors introduce your child to the water while focusing on comfort in the water, blowing bubbles and submersion all in a fun and safe manner.
Ages 3 years - 5 years old
LEVEL 3 STARFISH / Beginner 1
Participants work on basics, floating, front crawl, backstroke and water safety. Help your child adjust to the water in an interactive and safe environment with guidance of an aquatics instructor.
Ages 5 years old - 8 years old
LEVEL 4 PIRANHA / Beginner 2
Children develop freestyle with rhythmic breathing, improve backstroke, tread water and expand water safety skills.
Ages 8+ years old
LEVEL 5 STINGRAY / Advanced Beginner
Swimmers continue to improve on freestyle and backstroke and are introduced to the breaststroke. They practice water safety, assists and basic first aid.
Ages 8+ years old
LEVEL 6 MARLIN / Intermediate
Children begin stroke refinement and are introduced to sidestroke and butterfly. They develop max efficiencey and endurance for stroke. Students begin basic water rescue skills.
Ages 8+ years old
LEVEL 7 SHARK / Advanced Swimmer / Junior Lifeguard
Strokes are refined for greater distance swimming to build strength and endurance. Advanced rescue, CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard skills are taught.

The CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth Health and Wellness Center will provide you with a certified Red Cross Water Safety Instructor to help you begin to swim or to become a safer and stronger swimmer. Skills will be covered in a logical progression for personal aquatic development. Beginner to Advanced swimmers benefit from one-on-one instruction. Personal instruction will inspire you to achieve all of your aquatic goals, for both safety and fun!

Private Swim Lessons
HWC will provide you with a certified Red Cross Water Safety Instructor to help you begin to swim or to become a safer and stronger swimmer. Swim lessons are available for all ages and levels and for groups up to four people (Summer 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM) By appointment only. Contact Danise.McClung@christushealth.org
Adult Swim 101
Don't be bashful if you dont' know how to swim. This class wil help! We offer a beginner swim class for those 18 years and older. Learn to enjoy the water and start swimming. Two class ties are offered for flexibility, and this program is great for those who have never been introduced to the four basic swim strokes.
