We are thrilled to share exciting news! On Monday, December 2nd, the CHRISTUS Health & Wellness Center (HWC) - The Wilton P. Hebert Health & Wellness Center - began its first major locker room renovation since our establishment in 1996. This transformative project represents a significant milestone in our continued growth as Southeast Texas's largest fitness facility.

The comprehensive renovation project will deliver modern, upgraded facilities specifically designed to enhance your fitness experience. To ensure minimal disruption to your workout routine, we are implementing these improvements in carefully planned phases.

Phase 3 of our locker room renovations is underway! Brandi, our Customer Service Manager, has an important message for all our amazing women members and guests. While we enhance the women’s facilities with brand-new showers, new tile in and around the soothing steam room and whirlpool, new wood in the sauna, and updated toilets, fixtures, and sinks, we want to ensure your comfort. Alternative shower and changing options will be available during this upgrade, so you can continue enjoying your time here!

Alternative Facilities During Renovation

Main Building Options

  • Boys' and girls' locker room restrooms (located in hallway between basketball gym and indoor pool)

  • Women's and men's downstairs restroom (near vending machines)

  • Women's and men's upstairs restrooms (on fit floor by elevator)

  • Single restroom (between Studio A and Studio B)

Outdoor Area Facilities

  • Shower and restroom facilities at the outdoor pool building

  • Important: During Phase 3 (February 4 - April 28), the outdoor pool showers will be exclusively available for women's use

  • Note: These facilities remain accessible even while the outdoor pool is closed for swimming

Security Procedures for Alternative Facilities

When using the boys' and girls' locker rooms:

  1. Leave your personal keys with a front desk attendant

  2. Receive a temporary key for locker access

Important Facility Access Notes

  • During renovation periods, affected facilities will be completely closed

  • Alternative facilities are available in the boys' and girls' locker rooms and outdoor pool/shower areas

  • Gender-specific access applies to outdoor showers during renovation phases

  • Boys' and girls' locker rooms are located in the hallway to the left of the basketball gym, near the outdoor pool and tennis/pickleball courts

  • Please follow all posted signage and staff instructions during the renovation period
